Detailed & Professional Curriculum
Our curriculum writer is an experienced dancer, dance teacher, and is certified in elementary education. For each age range and class, there is a thorough curriculum by which all SODC teachers abide. Compared to most studios that do not enforce any curriculum.
Small Class Sizes
Maximum six students per class for ages 18 months to 2 years. Maximum nine students per class for ages 3 - 8. Maximum twelve students per class for ages 9 and up.
Age Appropriate Music, Movement, & Costumes
To uphold our studio’s mission and morals, our students’ performance costumes and dancewear promote modesty. We guarantee age-appropriate music and movement. We are YPAD Certified!
Marley Dance Floor & High-Quality Mirrors
All Studio One Dance Center studios are equipped with Marley flooring that helps reduce the risk of injury. All SODC studios are also equipped with mirrors that start at floor level so that the dancers can see their feet from any place on the floor. Safety is our top priority!
Short Recitals
We separate our recital into multiple shows so that each recital is only two and a half hours. Compared to other studios that often have only one recital that can go as long as 6-7 hours.

FAQ
Are trial classes offered at SODC?
We currently do not provide trial classes as they can disrupt ongoing sessions and pose challenges for trial students trying to engage with previously taught choreography. However, we organize Bring a Friend Week twice a year, allowing you to attend a class as a friend of someone already part of the SODC community.
What Is the cost of dance at SODC?
Class fees vary based on the type of class, camp, or program selected. For detailed pricing information, prospective clients can visit our class rates page. As a special offer, new dancers receive a complimentary pair of ballet shoes or a $15 dancewear credit upon registration.
Does my child have to perform in the spring recital?
Absolutely! Participation in the Spring Recital is mandatory for students at SODC. It fosters a sense of unity, showcasing the positive teamwork developed in class. The recital serves as a rewarding culmination, giving students purpose and a platform to shine, celebrating their hard work and dedication.
If I register online, when will my credit card be charged?
Your registration will be pending until you receive confirmation from our SODC office that your registration is complete and the classes chosen are appropriate and available. We will then give you the total amount to be charged to your card once you agree to that amount.
